Delapre Abbey Water Garden
It's not just a rumour, work has started on renovating the water garden. The area has been surrounded by red plastic fencing, coloured lines sprayed on the grass, concrete prized up and the fountain pumped out. A bit of a mess at the moment but I look forward to seeing the finished job in 6 weeks time.

When I was a child, my family would often picnic in the Abbey grounds and my brother, sister and I would play hide and seek in the dappled glades around the water garden. I always considered the water garden a magical place and I hope that the renovation work you described in 2011 rejuvenated the reality of my treasured memory.
